The crowd is mostly, but not exclusively older. There's a couple in-house steakhouses advertised, one more high-end than the other, but didn't try either - the quality of pretty much everything in and around the casino makes me think I should save my appetite for when I'm closer to home.

Here, it seems hidden, bunker-like - like you have to commit to it, sight unseen - which makes me think it's not any good. But here's the thing if a buffet actually was any good, I'd think you could actually see what's on the buffet, like through a window to tempt you. There's a buffet, which I didn't try, as buffets are generally dismal - industrial quantities of food that could be ladled with a shovel. There's a kind of a food court, with some varied offerings, none of which was very good. Realistically, it wouldn't be much more expensive - there's a hotel nearby that's affiliated with the Casino, but the weekend rates are absurd - an offseason weekend at $189 a night, (and up), in the middle of, well, nowhere? I can get a better room in AC for half that, and in Las Vegas for even less. If I'm going to play $50 a hand, (I'm not), I'm going to do it in Las Vegas, where there are some comps, decent food, and subsidized hotel rooms. Table minimums are far too high for me, (I was told $15 on a weekday, but on a weekend night, could only find $50 minimum tables) - but the tables seemed full of ready players. There's an affinity / point program, but seems pretty weak compared to others. But the layout is less than ideal, it's sprawling, with only 1 central corridor, which is invariably clogged by dozens of human speedbumps - I mean, seriously, how unconscious must you be to stand motionless in the center of an aisle, while dozens of people dodge awkwardly around you? Slots are a bit tight and I've seen more than one person go on a ruinous cold streak, dropping hundreds of dollars, some on what's advertised as 'penny slots' - but when you bet $2 a spin, it's hardly a penny slot - $100 can vanish in less than 5 minutes. The casino itself is fine, it's clean and has lots of options for slot and table play.
